About Vlop	English (USA)
The purpose of the the Village of Lansing Observer Program is two-fold: 1) to keep the Community Party informed about the discussions and actions of the Board of Trustees, the Planning Board, and the Board of Zoning Appeals; 2) to support these three Boards by showing public interest in their meetings. In principle, purpose 1) can be achieved by reading the minutes of these Boards, which are available on the Village of Lansing website (http://vlansing.org/). However, these minutes are published only after approval by the respective boards, which may take several weeks. Furthermore, they contain more detail than most of us want to know. Volunteer observers are requested to submit a brief informal report to the listserve soon after the meeting they attended. Using Vlop
To post a message to all the list members, send email to vlop@icycle.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Vlop
Subscribe to Vlop by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
