It's only four weeks until the next Cascadilla Hill Climb on Saturday,
September 29.

Registration will start around 9:00 am and racing about an hour
afterward. There will be a small entry fee (no more than $7) which puts
your name in the roster of riders and entitles you to cookies, bagels,
and beverages. This is definitely not a USCF event. Categories --
standard bikes, tandems, triples, unicycles; surprise us!

Come, spend a Saturday morning on your bicycle in one of the most
beautiful settings in the Finger Lakes region, the winding ascent of
Cascadilla Place in Ithaca. (Here's a photo from last year's race:
http://tinyurl.com/38gzhg ) The competition is in a double-elimination /
match sprint format. Riders race two at a time; the winner moves up to
race other winners; losers get a second match. Two losses and you're out.

The CHC is put on by the Finger Lakes Cycling Club but participants need
not be members of any club. In the past we have had participants from
pretty much all of New York State and some from even further afield. It
isn't an elite event; since people are matched initially by comparable
ability, everyone can participate and enjoy this occasion. Come with a
group of friends and challenge each other.

There is fairly complete info about this event on the FLCC website at
http://www.flcycling.org/racing/chcmain/ If you need more info, feel
free to call Andrejs, 607 592 0780.
