My typical hyration routine consists of ...
BEFORE loads of coffee
DURING water
AFTER varies, depends whether there's a cooler on hand or a microbrewery nearby
of course this system requires many. many stops along the roadside ;-)

All such flattering responses in that you must think that I'm either Floyd Landis or Bobby Nunnink, and I obviously can't measure up to either (even with Floyd saying he's gained 20 pounds)! :-) What I have REALLY been using is three things:
About 30 minutes BEFORE the race or training, I use a drink called FRS
www.frs.com - You can get a free trial box here (I use the powder to mix)
DURING the race or training, I use a drink called Accelerade
can be found on Performance's website
AFTER the race or training, I recover using a drink called Endurox
can be found on Performance's website

Hey Brian what was the name of that drink you've been using? And where did you say you were getting it?
Thanks, Jeremiah Ayers
