I do not know how many of you all saw the coverage of the press conference,
but i think that the news agencies (both local newspapers, 3 radio
stations, and 3 television stations) covered the event. They all had good
coverage and interviews.
I would like to encourage a lot of you to ride in the "Ride for Fun and
Health" next Saturday on May 10th. There are the four distances from 5 K
to metric century. It is a lot of fun to ride, and a good fund raiser for
Meals on Wheels of Chemung County. In other words, we help to fund home
delivered meals for older adults that cannot afford them.
The Time trial is also coming up quickly. It is Tuesday, May 13 at Chapel
Park.
People over 50 get to compete for medals in the senior games, and need to
register for the senior games.
Under 50 are going for bragging rights, and for the bottle of champagne!!!
In other words, who wants to beat Paul and Dave Prugh? They got 2nd and
3rd last year.
