Nice going BHV peeps !!
I always like to grab a wheel near the front of the group. If I get stuck on the front I take a short pull and drop back, but not all the way back, I budge into the line after about ten riders pass by. This way it's easier to see gaps open and I'm less likely to be caught too far back as the front of the group surges forward and splits off. Keep your head up , watch what's going on, try and pick out the strong riders and stay near them. That's what I do and it works well until I get dropped on the steep climb and end up in the second group anyway :p

The same thing has happened to me all year last year, I think more important than wheelsucking we need to keep our concentration higher and not get caught in the second group. Whenever I try to concerve and be a wheelsucker I end up in the second group, if we stay right at the front this wont happen. About the only place it pays to wheelsuck is at the binghamton circuits because nothing ever happens there. The best results Ive had as a cat 4 came at Yuasa and I stayed in the top 5 or ten the whole race and when the gap formed I didnt even know it. Also if no one in the first group wants to lead or work together nothing will happen and lets face it, neither one of us are going to win a field sprint. I really feel that in either of the two races at binghamton Corning race team could of broken away and ruled but it has to be all of us. Keep riding hard.
Jeff
