[BHV] No gas ??

I'd love to be able to ride my bike to work but it's just not possible, so I walk  ;-)


And on a related note, the story in the paper the other day about people buying and repairing their bikes so they can ride to work wasn't just hype. It's really happening ! It's been fun to help outfit people for commuting. These are folks who haven't ridden since they were kids, often they're regular ol' middle aged, out of shape, a little heavy, non-athletic folks. And the best part, most return and tell me how much they enjoy their daily ride :-)

    I am about to comlete a full week of not buying one drop of gas and my wife didnt either. It feels great!! I rode to work and we rode to soccer practice. I did miss the rides in Elmira but hey its one more person putting a microscopic dent in their sales. How many others rode to work all week? Today I have to break down and buy liquid gold to get to the race tomarow and our games but I think I will go back to bike comuting next week. There really is to many people buying unecessary amounts of fuel, just look at the stations around 7:30 in the morning, does america really want to lower the prices. We do but how about the non cycling public. I couldnt believe the lines at the pumps Wed. morning, I dont know if everybody wanted tio fill up before it gets any higher or what but it wasent like that even before gas went so high.
