Wow, does it get any better weather for riding ?! Sunny, cool temps,
clear skies, low humidity, gentle breezes, wow !
How about Bird Creek extended ? Mapmyride says it's 32 miles. This ride
has it all, flat start, gentle creekside climb changing to a couple
tough spots where the road tips up, then tops out at a spot where you
can see forever, a ripping downhill, scenic tree lined farm roads, oddly
placed Victorian farm houses, another rippin' downhill, and, if all goes
according to plan, a tailwind return on the flats back to the Queen
City. For those looking for more, I'm pretty sure that Joe Manzari can
hook us up with some post-pedaldi-pasta.
This ride has it all, good friends, great riding and Italian food. Who
needs Tuscany, I say ?! :p
There is a shorter loop and a flat out-n-back version, too
6pm from the shop
