The out-n-back to Jobb's Corners is a great route for those looking for a flatter ride. It starts and finishes the same as Bird Crk Extnded so we can still share some laughs early on and maybe on the way home.

Lou and I have tandem plans to be there, though when I recited our inventory of circa 30 milers for stoker Lou, I noticed a bit of hesitation on the mention of Bird Creek. I tried to reassure her that with a 30X34 low gear we can climb anything. Given that our conditioning schedule has us in very early season, we'll be in definite NotSoFast mode, maybe even in SmellTheRoses-- thought I don't think the roses are out yet. We'll have to smell the honeysuckle and the Russian olive.

Bird Creek Xtended is every bit as nice as Paul says it is. You take the long road, we'll take the short road, and maybe (though not likely) we'll get to Manzari's afore ye.

Wow, does it get any better weather for riding ?! Sunny, cool temps, clear skies, low humidity, gentle breezes, wow !

How about Bird Creek extended ? Mapmyride says it's 32 miles. This ride has it all, flat start, gentle creekside climb changing to a couple tough spots where the road tips up, then tops out at a spot where you can see forever, a ripping downhill, scenic tree lined farm roads, oddly placed Victorian farm houses, another rippin' downhill, and, if all goes according to plan, a tailwind return on the flats back to the Queen City. For those looking for more, I'm pretty sure that Joe Manzari can hook us up with some post-pedaldi-pasta.

This ride has it all, good friends, great riding and Italian food. Who needs Tuscany, I say ?! :p

There is a shorter loop and a flat out-n-back version, too

  6pm from the shop
