Don, thanks. My plan was to hang with you and the other leaders as long as I could and thought you'd attack on Ringwood after I passed you. Believe me, I was the one most surprised to be up there for so long. I guess lubing my chain before the race really helped (that's what he said LOL!).
Amanda: I'm glad you hung in there, even without your comrade-in-arms Lilynn, who was busy waiting for someone to break into her trunk (that's what she said!).
All-in-all, a fun, thoroughly exhausting evening (that's what they said!).
Alex

I just want to chime in that Rob and his son Randy are two of the unsung “stars” of Tuesday night racing. Their attitude and joie de vivre are near the top of my many reasons to make it Tuesday whenever I can.
Also, kudos to the two Alex’s that kicked my butt last night. Well done! I hope Alex T gets his Ithaca MySpace idea into the virtual world. I an certainly interested. Milt Tamm rode so hard last night that he had to have his daughter Rose pick him up at the top of the observatory!
Cheers,
Don

There is no getting around that the Tuesday nite races are hard whether you are first, last, A, B or C. We all suffer but for some reason we all come back for more. One of those reasons we come back was made plain to me last night in the B race. I can't tell you how many times I wanted to quit last night. I pulled out every mental trick I could think of to keep going but it wasn't working. What did work was the camaraderie and encouragement from a fellow racer. If Rob hadn't given me a steady diet of positive feedback going up Ringwood I would've given up. I would be kicking myself today but instead I'm psyched for more. This isn't the first time he and many others have encouraged me along with the right words, a push or a pull back to the group. So thank you Rob and the rest of you for making the Tuesday suffer fests bearable and do I dare say fun!
Amanda
