Hi Everyone,

There's a new start location for the re-scheduled Ithaca Soaring Ride.
Please meet at Allan Treman Marine Park on Rte. 89, directions below.

Saturday morning, October 7 at 9:am, we celebrate the inaugural
riding of
the new "Ithaca Soaring" ride (map # 342), 60 or 100 miles, our latest
creation of mythical topographical detail! This ride heads south and
west
from Ithaca with the literal high-point at the Harris Hill Soaring
Center in
Elmira! It's a solid ride with climbs that give way to long, curvy down
hills following the creeks in the area. We even get to ride through
one of
the only covered bridges in all of the Finger Lakes. Afterwards, we
plan to
shower at the state marine park and dine somewhere on the trendy Ithaca
Commons.

Join us at 7am for a buffet breakfast at the Iron Skillet Restaurant
(see
directions below) and then we'll caravan down to the start.

Directions to the Start: Thruway to "Seneca Falls" exit 41, Rte. 414
(Iron
Skillet Restaurant directly ahead of toll booths), then south on Rte.
414
past Rts. 5 & 20 to a left at the T intersection (Bayard Rd.). Take
Bayard
Rd. to Rte. 89 South. The entrance to Allan Treman State Marine Park
is next
to the Hangar Theatre, just north of Ithaca. Park in the big lot on
the left
where the bath house is located.

FREE Showers post ride: There are numerous men's and women's showers
available at the bath house.

See some possible restaurant options and also revised cues below.
We'll have
maps and cues at the start.

In addition to spectacular riding, the Ithaca area offers three of New
York's finest state parks, waterfalls and gorges, shopping, the
beauty of
downtown Ithaca and Cornell University, and a terrific selection of
eateries. Whatever you're up for, get a taste of the BEST the
Southern Tier
has to offer by joining us in Ithaca, New York.

Let's hope for Great Weather!

Mark
