And... last Sunday Jeremy Gardner and I went to Chittenango for a  
cross "training race" in Sullivan Park.  The fun and challenging  
course, setup by organizer Greg Drum, was excellent, and well worth  
the drive.

Jeremy had several bike problems during the race.  I kept seeing him  
on the side of the course working with his brakes or his drive  
train.  He kept passing me though, and I ended up well behind him.

I got into a really fun duel with Dave Faso.  Dave was a bit fitter,  
and could pull a gap on the hills.  I was a bit faster in the  
technical sections, and could close up there.  Folks who have seen my  
stunning lack of bike handling skills know this is good news for me,  
as it means I am somehow improving in that department.  In the end  
Dave got me by about 5 seconds.

Afterwards we visited and munched doughnuts.  (Yum!)  Much thanks to  
Greg for organizing.
