FLCC> Waynesboro, VA

Hey folks, not much time here, but me and Toby have made it to Waynesboro,
VA where, last night, a couple in a car stopped when they saw us looking
at a map to ask if we were looking for a place to camp, they proceeded to
show us to a large mown area with a sign that read something like:
"private property no trespassing: this land for sole access by long
distance hikers for overnight camping courtesy of the Waynesboro YMCA."  A
welcome change after riding through Shanendoah Natioanl Park where we were
told that backcountry camping permits were free... but we had to be more
than 1/4 mile from the road... and we couldn't take our bikes into the
woods... and we couldn't leave them at the edge of the woods.  it's much
easier to camp on private land.
anyway, we ought to try to get somewhere today, we've been going pretty
slowly (obviously) but it works for now.  the website has some updates
(travelog.cs.earlham.edu/travelogs/show/1) that we put up about a week ago
when we were taking a lengthy break at my uncle's.
