FLCC> Pink Slipper bike race

	The announcement was made last night....Next Tuesday will be the final 
official Tuesday night race of the season.  Barring severe weather, we will 
gather at the usual place at the usual time and partake of the usual 
racing. The important difference will be that there is a prize for the 
winners. As always, it is totally worthless and simultaneously infinitely 
valuable. The "A" riders have raced for the Pink Slipper for over twenty 
years, and the names of the winners have been engraved in semi-durable 
ballpoint pen on the heel and now on the sole of the famous footwear. Who 
will be the winner this year ?  Will it lead them to fame and fortune and 
contracts with big-name Euro teams ?  Will there be drug scandals ? Will 
whole teams show up to support their chosen team leaders ?  Stay tuned to 
this list-serve, as trash-talk (fun, I hope) and exposed plotting, as well 
as local cycling history come out in the build-up to the final 
showdown.........


	Meanwhile.......Tuesday night Cyclocross practices will begin at Swan 
Cycles the first Tuesday following the race for the Pink Slipper. More 
details will follow as we approach the date.
