FLCC> FW: TVC Cross report

Dear FLCC members,
 
I wanted to pass along an invitation to come join us for some cyclocross
fun!  
The Greene Cyclocross race will be held on Sunday, November 5th in
Greene, NY- more details to follow as they become available.
The Dave Panella Memorial Cross Race will be held Sunday, November 12 at
Ely Park Golf Course in Binghamton, NY, 
Cross practice is held every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 5:45pm at
Ely Park.
 
The Ely course (approx. 1 mile?) has fast smooth downhill section of
mowed paths through a brush lot with some nice fun corners leading out
to the driving range with a variety of twists and turns uphill and
downhill around to a nice fast dirt path back up the hill.

>From a rainy morning that turned into a perfect day. We had our biggest
turnout yet  at Ely Park Golf Course. The women almost outnumbered the
men.
Ed Burns,  Pat & Marsha Kapinus and Carrie Peeling debuted their new
cross bikes.    Paul built us some new equestrian style barriers to
practice with.   We had some new recruits with Tami  Lewis ,  Carrie's
nephew, Chris and .............the reemergence of Gina Elsner !  Welcome
back!
Groups played cat and mouse all night and it sounds like everyone had
fun. So continue to spread the word.
