Forecast has got us in the 40's after 11 AM, mere chance of precip.
Assuming it stays that way, and there is a fair chance of staying on
the dry side of the the chance of rain, I would like to try for a
metric diners club starting 11 AM in Elmira.
One option would be the Buckwheat Hollow Special (Bird Creek
extended, Millerton-Lawrenceville, back via Lindley-Caton). Diner in
Lawrenceville. Another would be the Tour de Monterey (Big Flats,
north then drop to Beaver Dam, then Monterey, back via Coopers
Plains, Painted Post, Corning, Caton); diner in Painted Post. Both
are plenty hilly, but the latter is slightly less hilly.
This time of year I'm into long slow distance myself, as far as pace
goes.
If you're interested, have questions, suggestions, let me know.
