FLCCers and Cookies,
We usually do a good job of volunteering at events. Ithaca Triathlon
Club's annual Cayuga Lake Tri is on this Sunday. And they're short
of bike course volunteers. There are no major races scheduled this
weekend, so there's no excuse not to help out for a few hours. Help
make the race safe for these competitors. Why not turn your Sunday
AM group ride into a volunteer session AND ride?
You can email or phone Dan Johnson danj007 at msn.com or 227-0209, or
just go to the volunteer website and sign up. I have. It'll cost
you a morning in the sun...

Below is the message from Jane Miller (event coordinator).
"Many thanks to those of you who have already registered to volunteer
for the Cayuga Lake Tri this Sunday. We still could use help from a
few more of you to at the race, especially on the bike course. We
need sweepers for the short course (only 14 miles!) and the youth
race (a mere 9 miles). If you can help as a sweeper, or in general
for the race, please contact Dan Johnson (danj007 at msn.com or
227-0209). There will be a keg of some of Ithaca's finest hops
waiting for you at the volunteer picnic on Friday, 8/10!
Cheers,
Jane Miller
Race Director, Cayuaga Lake Tri"
