Thanks for the compliment Bob, but I did not ride THAT fast.
Maybe Tyler Hamilton was there incognito?

Finally got a chance to echo Ano's thanks to the FLCC folk who came out
in support of the CLT - and the various competitors. I really
appreciated the time and effort - and the cheers from the Marks (R and
S) and Amanda that I heard as well as all the other cheers (Glenn?
Sara?) I didn't...though at the time I was struggling a little too much
to truly acknowledge how much the cheers helped.

I also want to complement Ano, who I saw flying the other way as I was
heading out (VERY stylish in his aero gear and TT bike getup)...don't
know if he was the 31.8 mph rider, but don't know who else it could have
been...the only way I could have kept up was on my motorcycle...

(As an aside: I wish there was a "parenthood" bonus - I struggled to
hold 20 mph for my little 20K ride, and was immensely pleased to have
done so, by however few seconds...).

Subject: FLCC> Cayuga Lake Triathlon

I participated in the Cayuga Lake Triathlon this past Sunday as part of
a relay team with my neighbors. Having been a part of stage race
organizing in the distant past, I can attest to the fact that the
triathlon
logistics seemed mind-boggling. Still, from my perspective, it was an
incredibly
well-run event. The course was challenging and well-marked. There was
an army of helpful volunteers in orange t-shirts who gave up their day
to make the race safe and fun for nearly everyone, including (but I'm
sure
not limited to) FLCC locals like Sara, Glenn, and Mark and Amanda
Shenstone.

Many thanks to them! The weather was beatiful (is Dave in cahoots with
the Ithaca Triahtlon club??), and Taughannock park is a great place to
relax afterwards with the family.

One of the few downsides is a hefty entry fee, but I understand that a
considerable portion of it goes to a local cancer charity. And some of
it no doubt was a kickback to Dave for the weather arrangements! So I
would say that it was all money well spent.

Hope you all had a nice weekend also.
