I have just checked with the official BHV archives for September
2005, and the "official" 50 mile start time is 11 AM. My
recollection is that this worked out nicely, with the moderately
brisk 100milers meeting up with the not-so-fast 50 milers along the
return leg somehwere near Rock Stream. Brisker cenurions would catch
them earlier, probably near Himrod. --Bill Lodico

FLCCers,
This Sunday, the FLCC offers a ride that is the invention of Big Horn
Velo in Elmira -- the particularly beautiful Keuka Century Ride, AKA
"Five Lakes and a Steak," and also the 50-mile version with fewer lakes.
The 100 mile ride starts at 9:00 am from the Watkins Glen marina on
Decatur Street. The shorter option starts at a later time in order to
get all riders back in Watkins Glen at about the same time. Danged if I
can remember what the time delay was that we allowed for this; I'm
thinking i would make sense for the short ride to leave at 11:00 --
allowing these folks to not only go slower but stop more.
Would someone at Big Horn Velo clarify this for us, please?
