This Sunday's ride is the second annual Tioughnioga River Valley Tour
jointly with the Onondaga Cycling Club. We did this ride last season
with great reviews. Only thing: don't be late. The OCC doesn't wait on
stragglers. The start will be at 10:00 am, fairly sharp. This is a
beautiful ride that incorporates parts of the familiar-to-FLCC Taylor
Valley ride and adds some new territory to the south of Willet. Long and
short options are available.

For the leisure riding bunch, there is a lovely short option. It's 43
miles, but most of that is flat or very gently rolling terrain. There is
a bit of a climb heading west to Telephone Rd, but then it's back to the
valley again and a gentle landscape.

The start is at Dwyer Memorial Park in Preble. There is a googlish map
on the occ website that shows the exact location. (The name of the start
in the list is "Preb.")
http://onondagacyclingclub.org/maps/start_map.php -- scroll the list at
the top to Preb and click. Basically, head to Cortland, take 281 north
through Homer. Cross the intersection with NY 41, go about 5 miles, and
you'll see a sign on the right side for Dwyer Mem Park next to a small
road that goes down to the right.Go down that road and turn left into
the parking area.
