FLCC> Benefit for Injured Cyclist

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to extend an invitation from Big Horn Velo to all FLCC members to
come to a benefit for an injured member of Big Horn Velo, Dana Carr.  Dana
is a member of our Race Team and one of the nicest guys on the road. Jim
Reed from BHV wrote the invitation that follows.

Want to support a GREAT cause while drinking good beer and eating delicious
food?  How about doing something nice for one of the nicest guys who ever
graced the Big Horn Velo rides?

How about something to do on a Saturday night in the depths of the winter
doldrums?

On January 5th at 7:00-11:00 at the Wings of Eagles Discovery Center a
benefit will be held for fellow cyclist Dana Carr.  As most of you know,
Dana suffered catastrophic injuries in August 2007 when he was run down by a
speeding motorcyclist.  Dana had truly life-threatening injuries but his
strength, well known to anyone who tried to hold Dana's wheel when he took a
monstrous pull, scared the Grim Reaper away.  Dana is now in Atlanta
receiving long-term rehabilitation for his multiple injuries.  As you might
imagine, his medical bills are HUGE.

Tickets for the benefit are $20 which covers admission, food by Bernie
Murrays (chicken wings!!), beer, wine, soda and a chance to win a $1,000
Best Buy gift card.

Tickets can be purchased at the Receptionist's Desk at my office or at
Kingsbury's Cyclery in Elmira -- a good excuse to stop and see Paul and load
up on Christmas cycling goodies for you or someone you love!  J

I am sure it would mean a lot to Dana to see a lot of his cycling friends at
the Benefit so I hope as many of you as possible will plan on attending!!
