FLCC> Swandrome Wednesday

This may be just a little bit of a stretch, but I suspect others are as
desperate as I am, so I am declaring that the first "Swandrome" night of
the season will be tomorrow (Wednesday) night starting at about 5:00 and
continuing until we're too tired to ski any more. (might not be very long....)

Weather forecast is for COLD conditions, so make sure you find your warm
clothes. (better yet, plan to buy some at the bike shop!)

I dragged the grooming sled around the skate trails this morning (Tuesday)
and although it still turns up plenty of leaves and twigs and other
detritus, there is now a thin packed base and there are relatively few
places where anything solid will grab your ski bottoms. As Dave Ruppert
notes, there isn't much cushion there, so if you fall you'll land on
essentially hard frozen ground, but we're all so good that we won't fall
down...will we ? It was snowing lightly as I came to work, and it is
supposed to continue, so being optimistic I'll hope for good conditions and
good friends to ski with.

C'mon out ! Let's get this winter started.

WEDNESDAY night. Spread the word.

Glenn Swan
