FLCC> sunday rides question

As a 60+ year-old fit, but slow rider, I've experienced many generous  
acts when riding (and snow shoeing) with FLCC members. At times, I  
would have preferred to be "dropped" rather than slow others down,  
but people graciously stayed with me. The "slow" rides I attended  
have operated by consensus with respect to distance and and level of  
challenge.

Last winter, in a supreme act of generosity, one of the "hardcore"  
FLCC racers even gave up his snow shoes to help me out when one of  
mine was out of commission. He quite cheerfully kept me company as he  
forged ahead on my one functioning snow shoe while I used his.
