Third Annual Tour de Keuka Benefits JDRF
This summer, cyclists from across Central New York and Northern Pennsylvania will ride together in the 3rd Annual Tour de Keuka, a cycling event and fundraiser benefiting the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Sponsored by several organizations in our community, the Tour de Keuka provides an opportunity for cyclists to traverse one of the most beautiful regions in New York State while supporting a worthy cause.
The ride around the Keuka country side will be held on Saturday, July 28th 2007, starting at the Hammondsport Fire Department and following a scenic route around Keuka Lake. The century ride begins at 7:30 A.M and the half-century begins at 10:30 am.
The Tour de Keuka is a supported ride, with end of event sweepers to ensure riders' safety. Complimentary beverages, fruit and snacks will also be available to all riders at the starting and ending points of each route, as well as along the route at about 20 mile intervals.
Our 2007 goal is to raise $20,000 to benefit JDRF. Riders must raise at least $50 to participate, and the first 40 riders raising $200 or more receive a commemorative bike jersey. Friends, family and coworkers who sponsor riders can pledge an amount per mile, or make a flat donation. All donations are due a week after the ride on August 4.
To learn more about the routes and to download a sponsor pledge form
(which is also the rider registration form) and the mandatory waiver, please visit www.jdrf.org/tourdekeuka.
