The other, other Sunday ride was, like the other, other Sunday rides, done
in perfect weather. A group of us including Jim, Don, Evan, Steve, my Dad
whose legs were I'm sure not prepared after their normal rolling hills in
Pennsylvania, someone in an FLCC jersey whose name I unfortunately didn't
catch, and myself headed out Ellis Hollow after some confusion with the
cookies ride, then took Thomas Rd. out to Old 76, then right on South Rd and
out Legge Hill, all according (I think) to the cue sheet. Great descent
after the prison on South Rd - that's got to be one of the best stretches of
road around here, I'd say, all the way into Candor, really - but anyway,
great descent and then headed down Legge Hill toward Speedsville. I'm not
sure if we stayed on the cue sheet exactly, but somehow wound up on Blackman
Hill back to 79, then headed back to East Hill via Snyder Hill. I think it
wound up around 50 miles, not too fast, but with lots of elevation to make
up for that. Amazing views all along Legge and Blackman Hills.
