Tuesday night was my first time racing. Good fun and I will be back.

Some of you may have seen or heard about the rather unpleasant incident
with a drunk driver as we were coming down Snyder Hill after the race.
He overtook us (a group of four) only to cut in front of us and break
very hard to make us hit him. Fortunately, we all narrowly managed to
avoid him and noone was hurt. In today's Ithaca Journal I saw that he
was charged with drunk driving and endangering cyclists. I am sorry that
I couldn't stick around until the police showed up, but please let me
know (Alex?) if there is anything I can do to support the upcoming court
case against him.

Yesterday, I went up Snyder Hill again and saw the guy's car (light blue
Ford Taurus DCH 7472) parked in front of the house at the highest point
of Snyder Hill Rd - the house directly at the race's 'finish line' on
the South side of the road. I thought I'd share this to be watchful up
there. From his rants on the EH parking lot it was obvious that he
wasn't only drunk but that he had pent up issues with cyclists.

Felix
