Well, if the blackflies are a problem, you could just smear some chain oil
on your face and arms... mebbe that'd keep 'em away. I'd have never
thought of that technique until I ran across a bunch of Quebecois in the
woods one day, clearing new trails... granted that was chainsaw oil, but
they swore by it :-)
Seriously, I doubt you'll have too much problem from the flies. If you do,
you can slather up with something if you're so inclined, or alternatively
just keep moving.
