Specious.  How did you get in this situation?  If you had behaved like
a car in the first place, taken your lane and stayed in it, then you
wouldn't be there.  It sounds like you worked your way up the right
side of the straight lane (clever bicycle), so now you're stuck in the
right turn lane.  But anyway, what I do in that situation is first
tell myself I never learn, then I squeeze myself in front of the
straight lane and risk anger.

Your safety is your own responsibility -- you can't blame this on your
"friends".  Look around for yourself, and when you see the yellow, you
slow down whether they do or not.  If they are your friends they will
wait for you.
