Hey Andrew,

I was just in Moab, Utah last month. It is beautiful and there are enough
trails there for your entire week - a car will be necessary to get to various
trails and nearby Fruita, CO that has huge amounts of single track. Moab is
rated the best Mountain biking in the world and Fruita is rated 6th - I don't
know who rated them - maybe they rated themselves but that's what I read.
Camping, Motels, and Hotels in Moab and Fuita. I've got a trail book for Moab
that you are welcome to borrow. Good luck.

Hi all:

My friend and I are planning a mountain biking trip late this summer and I
seek advice regarding a venue for this trip. I'm pretty much a hack on a
mountain bike (I bet Dan can confirm this fact) and my friend is probably
slightly better than I am. So far he has suggested Moab in Utah and some sort of
old coal mining area (now single track) in VA. We will probably spend a week
wherever we go and will seek modest lodging ( i.e., not camping) somewhere
that will keep us in easy access to the trails. Accordingly, we will need
enough trails to give us 5-7 days worth of entertainment. Ithaca has actually
crossed my mind as a venue as well.

I'd appreciate any guidance that you all might offer.

Thanks in advance.

Best,
Andrew
