Even though the course was really dry, it would be easy to biff on
several parts of it, including Bill's Biff, considering you're just
about at redline for so long and riding alongside others who are doing
the same. I managed to stay upright, but I wasn't nearly as fast as
Bill (or most of the rest of the masters field). A lot of imagination
went into laying out this course. The weirdest part is the spiral,
located on the side of a hill. You enter the spiral and ride in smaller
and smaller circles--maybe three or four, until you are at the center,
where you reverse your direction and start spiraling out. The whole
time, there are racers coming at you from the opposite direction, but
they are in a separate lane. The first time through is troubling--you
keep thinking you're going to crash with somebody going the other way.
after the first time through, the biggest concern is keeping from
vomiting. After the masters I watched Open racers go through the spiral
from a distance and it looked like a huge kaleidoscope. Pretty cool.

We just call this "doing a Rhino"... Bill should consider opening up
a landscaping business, with all the turf he continues to plough. :-)
