This is a reminder that this Sunday will be the FLCC Off-Season Bike
Touring Dish-to-Pass Dinner. If you haven't sent your RSVP yet,
please email me so that we will have enough pizza, drinks, and
supplies for everyone. I've received 25 responses from interested
people, so it is shaping up to be a popular event, and there is
plenty of space for more people. See below for the original
announcement with all of the details.

To All Finger Lakes Cycling Club Members and Supporters:
Set aside Sunday evening December 2, 2007 for the 1st FLCC Off-Season
Bike Touring Dish-to-Pass Dinner. This is an informal evening of
food and fun where we can hear about some of the bike touring
adventures that our club members and supporters have experienced over
the past few cycling seasons. We've had riders go across the
country, New York State, Quebec, the Adirondacks, Maine, Oregon,
Arizona, and many other places on multi-day or multi-week bike tours.
This will be a great occasion for anyone who is curious about bike
touring to learn more and make contacts. Let's exchange stories and
get inspired for next year's prime cycling season.
What: 1st FLCC Off-Season Bike Touring Dish-to-Pass Dinner
When: Sunday December 2, 2007 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Where: Ellis Hollow Community Center on Genung Rd, Ithaca, NY.
About 1/4 mile north of the intersection of Ellis Hollow Rd. and
Genung Rd. Use the 2nd driveway entrance on Genung Rd.
Who: This is open to all FLCC members and supporters and their
families. Non-members are also welcome to attend. Members of other
cycling clubs are welcome.
Bring: A dish-to-pass, either a salad or appetizer or dessert. The
club will supply pizza, soda, and utensils. Bring bike trip photos
(optional), see below.
Program: We are providing a fun atmosphere to exchange stories. We
will have a computer and LCD projector and screen to display digital
photos or video clips. Bring a CD, DVD, or memory stick with your
bike touring photos. Alternatively, print some photos, and consider
mounting them on a piece of cardboard to display. Bring pamphlets,
brochures, T-shirts, etc from rides you have done, or would like to
do. Let's all get creative and have a fun evening talking about bike
touring!
RSVP: We want to have enough pizza for everyone, so please e-mail
Steve at sp35 at cornell.edu with the number of people who are likely to
attend. If you have a favorite variety of pizza let us know and
we'll try to provide it.
Questions: Contact Steve at sp35 at cornell.edu or Andrejs at
aozolins at ithaca.edu (phone 607-592-0780), or send a message to the
FLCC listserv at flcc at icycle.org
P.S. Please forward this message to non-members who might be
interested. Thanks.
