FLCC> trainers and lights

It's getting toward that time of year when you either ride with warm
clothes and lights or you move indoors. Swan Cycles is prepared for either
eventuality. I have just gotten a full season's worth of Night Rider lights
and Kinetic trainers. I always have lots of cold weather clothing and
accessories. So....if you've been thinking of getting any of these items
you might want to stop by the bike shop next week when trainers and lights
will be on special. I won't put prices on a public list, but it's a safe
bet that you won't find them (new) for less anywhere. The bike shop is open
usual hours (M-Th 6:30-9:30) 277-0495

I know the CU team has trainer sessions indoors during the winter. Other
FLCC members sometimes organize rides with their friends indoors. There are
the legendary Thursday Night-Club rides at Connecticut Hill, and we really
should restart the Monday Night Mountain Bike rides on Mt. Pleasant while
the weather is still relatively benign. Anyone interested in making these
happen again ? (These are less "challenging" than Thursday nights and never
get so far from civilization that you couldn't walk home if your lights or
your bike failed.) There are "loaner lights" for those who wish to try
night riding, but don't want to invest in a serious lighting system until
they have tried it and find they like it. For equalizers, we give the
fastest riders the worst lights, and the beginners the brightest lights.
That way everybody ends up riding the same speed....Some guys have to do it
with no lights at all so they just have to stay with everyone else...
