forecast is for temps in the high forties, chance of rain, howling  
wind out of the northwest

in short, a perfect fall day for riding.

Plan is to meet in Montour at Blaine Chamberlain's, Winton Road, 10AM  
for a bout 50 miles, north around Cayuta Lake, then to Newfield, then  
to Van Etten, and back via Alpine Junction.  Can't really think of a  
diner anywhere along the line, though if we find one, we'll stop.
