Just to be clear: the scheduled FLCC ride tomorrow *is* a road ride. 
It's virtually all on good paved surfaces with only a few miles that are 
gravel. Nothing is off-road.  Skinny tires can easily do it if you pump 
them up properly and ride carefully for that bit. A good idea in any 
case. As for distance, easy enough to turn right on Old 76 on your way 
back and add as big a loop as you like.
