FLCC> DNFs at US Champtionships?

To put in my two cents (having raced at that level)... it's a whole
other world racing against guys at that league. There are some
unbelievable (and sometimes artificially suped-up) engines at that race
who have one job... MAKE SURE only 30 guys finish. Results on a sheet of
paper don't always show how well someone raced. Danny making all of the
splits and then almost catching back on chasing solo after a crash
definitely trumps my 20 mile solo breakaway at GMSR. Sorry about the bad
luck Danny but great racing once again!

All,

What is the reason for so many DNFs at the US Road Race Championship?
It appears that only 30 or so out of the 100 listed (which included Dan
Timmerman) finished the race.
