I protest! What you don't understand is that any advantage I gain from
having my 22 year old son as stoker is more than negated by the mental
and physical energy that has been sucked out of me by getting him to
that age. Not to mention all that $$$ that could have been spent on
high end equipment that went to SUNY Brockport instead. Anybody who saw
me "race" up Snyder a couple of weeks ago knows this to be true--the
asphalt was moving faster than I was.

Subject: FLCC> Cascadilla Hill Climb - Age Limits

There have been a few emails flying about regarding age limits in the
family challenge category. In order to prevent Jack from entering
with his son, we've decided to set the upper limit at 21 yrs of age.
On the lower end of the limit, I believe we should include pregnant
women. If any mama-to-be can pedal a bike up that hill she has my
respect! I was limited to a 3-speed upright cruiser by the time I
was 7-8 months along. However, if the officials have any reason to
suspect that gravitationally challenged males are trying to enter the
family challenge in drag, then we may need to require documentation
in the form of ultrasounds/notes from doctors.

Also, please no intentional sugar-doping of the children prior to the
event.

Anyone attempting to provide "everyone wins" certificates/ribbons
will be given a penalty lap of piloting a tandem connected to a trail-
a-bike connected to a trailer up the hill while the children sing the
Barney songs.
