yeah, it bugs me too, but I can't say that without a sharp note of hypocrisy
as I almost always get a ride home at least, and sometimes out too (I don't
have a car, but I do have some neighbors out in Trumansburg who drive). I
think a large part of the reason people drive is that it is often already
dusk by the time people are getting back to the parking lot. I've been
meaning to get some lights for night riding, but night riding is really
something that I never expect to see the majority of people doing, and
understandably; it's certainly more dangerous and usually less pleasant.
That said, I would love to see more people rolling in on two wheels! So
think about it folks; if you have lights or live close enough to get home
before dark, add a little extra warm up time. We're not racing for big prize
money here, it's really all about being on your bike more!
