For the last decade or so we have had a series of spring clinics on
Sundays in March. These were the brainchild of Ben Bourne, as he and Glenn
Swan shared their experience, enthusiasm and observations on various
aspects of cycling. The clinics will continue again this year. We are
trying to add some new topics to make the clinics relevant to more
cyclists, since some people can only learn about "bike fit" so many times
before they decide Sunday morning tennis isn't such a bad thing.....10AM on
the Cornell Campus - most likely Olin Hall (ChemE) Lounge.
We will of course, still offer basic topics such as bike fit, training,
physiology, and nutrition (for racers and riders of all sorts, from crits
to centuries), and basic group riding skills. We are hoping to have a guest
speaker on what it's like to live life as a professional racer. We also
plan to have a presentation on touring equipment, planning, and practice.
I know that there are 5 Sundays in March and the 4th Sunday in March is
Easter. The order of presentation of topics has not been nailed down
yet. I am leaning toward Bike Fit and related topics Mar. 2, and
Race-oriented topics Mar. 9, with touring oriented topics the final Sunday
(30th), but these are subject to change according to the availability of
presenters and interested attendees who voice their preferences to me.

So stay tuned for the final schedule, and let me know if you have suggested
topics, or special scheduling requests.

Glenn Swan
