As a lot of people are reluctant to open 
attachments I am pasting it below. It is a good 
citizen race for all levels. Not too hilly and 
well done.

The Races: ** NEW! Longer ‘A’ Race! ** PLUS Cash 
Prizes! **

      Field
     Distance
     Citizen’s Race!

      A
     38 miles
     Experienced riders only, please. Men, women, 
& juniors (under age 19). Equivalent to USCF Cat 
3-4.

      B
     27 miles
     Citizen’s men and women, tandems, and juniors 
(under age 19). Each member of tandem teams must 
register, pay fee, and sign waivers. Equivalent to 
USCF Cat 5.





The Course is approximately 38 miles (A field), 27 
miles (B field). The A course goes north on NY 
Rte. 79 from the village green in Windsor. The 
course turns right at Center Village over the 
Susquehanna River, left on Loop Road, right on Old 
Windsor Road, and right on Old Rte. 17 crossing 
the river again. A racers will complete two loops. 
After crossing the river on the 2nd loop, make 
left turn onto NY Rte. 79. The B course is one 
loop up Rte. 79 north, right on NY Rte. 7, and 
right in Nineveh, crossing the river. Turn right 
at the end of the bridge returning to Windsor on 
Old Windsor Road, right onto Old Rte. 17, and left 
onto Rte. 79 south. Both courses finish by forking 
to the right up a steep hill - Piper Hill Road. 
Course maps can be located at www.avreus.org. The 
course is generally rolling with an uphill finish. 
Recommended gearing is 39x23. Approved helmets 
required. No aerobars.

Times: Registration: 8:30 until 9:45 at the 
Windsor Green.

Start: 10:00 for "A" Field 10:05 for "B" Field

Fee: Donation is $20 in advance ($10 for juniors) 
(plus bikereg fee) at only, until noon Friday, 
July 18th. Goody bag for the first 75 
pre-registrations. No mail-ins please! No refunds. 
Upon arrival please locate and sign your 
pre-filled out waiver form at the registration 
desk. Simply exchange your signed waiver form for 
a race number.

$27 on-site ($15 juniors). Make checks payable to 
"A.V.R.E". Upon arrival please complete a blank 
waiver form and present payment with completed 
waiver form at the registration desk for a race 
number.

Prizes: Cash prizes and trophies to top 3 men and 
women in "A" field; Trophies for top 3 in men, 
women, tandems in "B" field. Medals for top 3 
juniors (A and B fields) and for 4th, 5th, 6th 
places in all fields. Misc prizes. Junior’s age < 
19 yrs old on December 31st, 2008.

Cash Prizes for A Field Men&Women: < 50 riders: 
1st-$40, 2nd-$30, 3rd-$20; >=50 riders:1st-$75, 
2nd-$50, 3rd-$25

Directions: Windsor is located 14 miles east of 
Binghamton on Rt. 17, exit 79. Turn left off the 
ramp. The village square is near the exit!
