Half a dozen of us (Terri, Lewis, new Andy from NH, Vanessa, another
person) left Cass Park under cloudy skies. Just before we reached
T'Burg it started raining. When we reached the parking lot, no one
was there. While we rehydrated, Terri came up with plan B which
involved coffee and an abbreviated ride back to Cass Park. I don't
know what route they took but no one wanted to go to Sheldrake with
me. I got to Sheldrake with a nice tail wind by 10:30. I refilled
water bottles and checked the route. A wedding had been moved
indoors under a tent. The rain had stopped as I headed out but by
11am the skies opened up and it rained pretty consistently for half
an hour. It was a warm rain and riding the long grade out of
Sheldrake kept me plenty warm. It stopped raining about noon and the
ride back to Cass was nice. I returned about 1pm, warm and nearly
dry with 57 miles on the odometer.
