Hello,
(New) Andy from NH here. I just moved to Ithaca 1.5 months ago, and am glad
I found some people to ride with! I'm certainly less experienced, but
thankfully I still had enough to make it through the day. I do commute by
bike up to Collegetown everyday, so that's certainly helped my quads get
used to the pain.
After Mark went on, we met up with one other (can't remember his/your name
now, sorry) who thought that the half-dozen of us was just the front of the
pack and that he would link of with the rest of the group behind us. He
caught up when we stopped in Trumansburg to discuss plans and get coffee. We
ended up going towards Perry City, mostly south of Trumansburg and then back
east crossing 96 and heading down 89. I had my gps map the route if anyone
really wanted to know, I just haven't uploaded the software to my new
computer yet. The rain continued for a little while after stopping but then
held off again. By the time we got back into town, it started to downpour as
I got to the Commons. At the end, my gps said 35 miles and 15.5mph moving
average.
