FLCC> Final Call for 2 FLCC Bike Tours

Final call for 2 upcoming bike tours organized by the FLCC Touring 
Group.  Send me an e-mail to me if you are interested in either of 
these trips:

June 13-15 -- Finger Lakes Weekend -- We depart Ithaca around 4:30 pm 
on Friday June 13 and return early/mid-afternoon on Sunday June 15. 
We will camp at Fillmore Glen State Park and Sampson State Park. 
This is a bike camping trip intended to share the adventure of 
self-contained bike touring, and the satisfaction that comes from 
travelling this way.  We will try to carry as much of our own gear as 
possible, but a vehicle will be available to carry items that can not 
fit on our bikes.  Cost is $6 per person for camping, plus whatever 
you spend on food.

July 12-21 -- C & O Canal / Great Allegheny Passage -- A 350 mile 
adventure from Washington,DC to Pittsburgh, PA via this wonderful 
traffic-free trail network.  Most of the trails are not paved, so be 
prepared for dirt, crushed stone, and gravel.  And of course some mud 
if it rains!  This is a fully self-contained bike tour where we will 
take everything on our bikes (a touring bike with wide tires or a 
mountain bike would work well).  There will be a mix of 
accommodations:  6 nights of camping, 2 nights in a college dorm, and 
hostel-style accommodations for 1 night.  Per person cost will be on 
the order of $250 to $300 for the accommodations and transportation, 
including Amtrak for the return from Pittsburgh, PA to Washington, 
DC.  Add in food costs to come up with the total estimated costs.
