Oh, come on. Helmets don't save your life, they just make it more likely 
that you'll survive a crash. The truth is, plenty of people get killed 
with helmets on and plenty of people are fine without them. The fact 
that helmets are a simple little device that *could* save your life is 
why we wear them whenever we can to increase our odds, not because 
they're some magic wand and you'll evaporate if you go outside without 
them. You may as well not get out of bed in the morning.
