FLCC> helmets required for Bike to Work Day rides?

Helmets are required in my group. No helmet. No ride. Although, I do keep a
couple loaners on hand, to save someone a trip into town :-)

I was first on the scene of a one person crash on Turkey Hill Rd several
years ago. A man on a road bike wearing one of those old fashioned leather
head bumper guards - looks like he hit a pot hole and went over the
handlebars - found him unconscious - they flew him out with a helicopter -
he was in a coma for awhile I heard later via the local EMT grapevine. I am
quite convinced he would have walked away if he'd been wearing a modern
helmet.

I'll be wearing a helmet on my "ride to work day" and I am hoping some
helmet wearing folks will join me as I pass through Ellis Hollow?
I posted my route here
