All kidding aside, helmets save lives or reduce the risk of becoming TBI or worse. I work with kids that have been in accidents where a helmet could have made a difference to the extent of the injury sustained. In these unfortunate cases we will never know. It is an adults choice to put their own well being on the line, but when it comes to a child it is pathetic that I see kids riding bikes, horses, four-wheelers etc without the proper safety equipment that is at a nominal cost compared to what these families now pay for TBI related trauma. So, stop all the whinning and save your noggin. We are all educated to some degree and it does not take an Einstein to figure out that you should wear a helmet.
