Bill and Stan,
It was indeed me, my son, and a neighbor's child on Bill's old triplet.
Riding with young children (< 10 yo) on their own bikes is scary,
even on the relatively calm streets of East Hill. I definitely prefer
having them strapped onto a bike that I am steering. We have a long way
to go before family commuting is a safe option.
My neighbor, whose son nearly got run down, is Dutch. Based on his
experience in the Netherlands, he still can't fathom the idea that
cyclists don't always have the right of way!
