Yeah folks, Wayne is right, especially on the ride out to the start, I took
the back seat perspective. I would have been pretty distressed trying to
pass us as a driver (part of that is because I can't drive, but even if I
could...) I suppose we have this conversation every year, and we need to
every year. We'll probably go much more in depth as to the philosophy and
morals of getting over later in the season. For now I suggest that we take
Wayne's advice.
Also, I took an overly passive approach to splitting up the group leaving
the parking lot (that is to say I just waited and hoped that some people
would wait with me). It wasn't very well executed on my part, I'll be more
vocal about in the future. In any case, remember folks, there is no official
leadership out there (well, Glenn does a fair bit, but he can only lead one
group). It isn't a race to the start, lets ride out in groups with
significant gaps in between.
If you won't do it for me, and you won't do it for yourself, do it for
Wayne, he can only take so much abuse from his neighbors.
