Hi,

I am selling my early '00s 52cm Indy Fab Planet X. Paint has various
nicks and scratches, but no rust, and frame is straight and true.

Top tube is 22 inches, standover height is 32 inches with cyclocross
tires. It fits me perfectly, and I am 5' 9.5" with a PBH of 82cm
(inseam of 32 inches; see http://www.rivbike.com/article/bike_fit/pbh_and_how_to_measure_it
  for more info on PBH).

Frame is handbuilt in Somerville, MA from Reynolds 853, with IF-built
steel fork, orange to red fade paint job with many scratches. But no
rust that I've found. These frames are sealed when built and the
insides coated with J.P. Weigle's Framesaver. You could have it
repainted and I expect it'd be just like new.
IF are experts at making cross frames. Build quality unlike any mass
produced bike you'll ever see. Current MSRP on the frame and fork is
$1950. Learn more at http://www.ifbikes.com/OurBikes/Cross/Steel_Planet_Cross/

Parts:

XTR front and rapid rise rear derailleurs

9 speed XT/Ultegra cassette (several to choose from)

10 speed Campagnolo Veloce levers (see below for how this works with
Shimano 9 speed drive trains)

Campy Veloce 172.5mm cranks

Dia-Compe 986 cantilever brakes (very light brakes that were original
equipment on the legendary Bridgestone MB-0)

Deda stem

Deda anatomic deep drop 44cm bars

American Classic bottom bracket

Cane Creek headset

Kona Race Lite Rocky Mtn 2 bolt seatpost

Selle Italia leather saddle with alloy rails

2 wheel sets to choose from:

orange anodized 28 spoke Mavic Open Pro CD on Coda Expert front/ XTR
rear hubs (with triple-butted DT Alpine III and bladed spoke combo on
rear wheel to achieve more even spoke tension for a bomb-proof wheel,
see http://www.sheldonbrown.com/wheelbuild.html under spoke gauges for
more info) with Michelin green cyclocross mud tires (less than 500
miles on rear wheel, don't know how many on front)

or

Easton Vista clincher wheels, 24 spoke front, 28 rear, with Vittoria
Rubino Pro Slick 23mm tires (less than 2000 miles on this wheel set)

For an extra $200, I'll sell you both wheel sets with two cassettes
and 4 tires and tubes

The Campy 10 speed brifters work perfectly with the Shimano 9 speed
drivetrain when the cable is routed to the outside of the cable
attachment bolt on the rear derailleur (see http://www.ctc.org.uk/desktopdefault.aspx?tabid=3946
for more information on how and why). In addition to the reasons
stated there, I find Campy Ergo much more ergonomic than Shimano STI,
and with Ergo and a rapid rise derailleur, you can downshift as many
as 5 gears with one quick push of the thumb.

If you don't like the Campy brifters, I can swap them out for Ultegra
STI 8 speed brifters and an Ultegra 8 speed cassette.

Let me know if you'd like me email you photos or would like to test
ride.

Cheers,

Gernot
