[Itc] Tri Club Membership for 2010 (For Amy & Everyone)

Hi everyone,

Amy's problem was unique to her and I think the site is working fine.  A number of folks have joined or renewed today -- let's keep the momentum going.

Rob you should get membership cards in the mail a few weeks after you sign up -- if you don't get one then let us know and we'll get it done!  Some of you may have signed up for multiple year memberships before we started the process of issuing membership cards.  If you did that and do not have a card please let us know and we'll get one to you!

For everyone else (for the time being, we'll try to get it sorted), when you get the confirmation window from google docs, if you wish to use paypal, click the back button on your browser and scroll down to the paypal button at the bottom.

If you haven't yet renewed your ITC membership for 2010 now is the time to do so. As we move forward into March and spring is around the corner (we hope) the training season will move into full swing.  You'll not want to miss out on our member-only activities (like the run-bike-run; lake swims, and numerous clinics already taking shape).

And if that isn't enough incentive to join or renew here's another:  we've made some significant improvements to the membership renewal/registration process and it's now all available online.  Please see our new membership page at :  http://www.ithacatriathlonclub.org/membership/default.html.  You'll be able to submit your registration form online and pay with Paypal.  The option of submitting paper forms and check remains available as well if you prefer that method.  Once you've renewed or joined you will receive a membership card in the mail with details about access to numerous discounts for triathlon gear and magazine subscriptions.


In our overhaul of the registration process, we have also recruited a new Membership Coordinator -- Sabrina Smith -- and you'll be hearing from Sabrina in the future about membership-related issues.  Thanks to Sabrina for volunteering.


And.... A HUGE THANKS to Adam Brumberg for handling the membership duties for the last six or so years. Adam has manually tracked the membership renewals, banked the checks, sent the reminder e-mails, and managed the entire process.  He and Sabrina have also put a significant amount of time into developing the new web-based membership options.

As you complete the registration process please remember that the system is new.  While we hope that we've managed to iron out the bugs, we don't expect it to be perfect.  If you run into any problems with the web based forms or paypal please let us know!
